Philosophy and Computer Science (M.A. / M.Sc.)

Deep fakes, surveillance capitalism, algorithmic fairness: challenges like these cannot be addressed by technological solutions alone — they call for a broader perspective. The interdisciplinary Master’s program in Philosophy & Computer Science (P&CS) at the University of Bayreuth trains a new generation of scientists and creative thinkers equipped to navigate the social, epistemological, ethical, and institutional challenges modern information technologies raise. To this end, it combines training in computational skills with deep philosophical analysis.
