Natural Products & Drug Chemistry (M.Sc.)

Natural products play an important role for humanity by serving as molecular leads for the treatment of many diseases. Furthermore, natural products are widely applied in many other fields such as the food & health and the agricultural sector.
The interdisciplinary Master’s programme in Natural Products & Drugs Chemistry at the University of Bayreuth offers deep insights into various areas of natural product and drug chemistry with a strong focus on (bio)synthetic aspects. Graduates receive a profound training in chemical synthesis, which is complemented by analytical and biological topics. This interdisciplinary perspective provides an excellent foundation for a future career in academia and industry.
