Der DAAD ist in China seit 1994 durch seine Außenstelle in Peking sowie durch Informationszentren in Shanghai und Guangzhou vertreten. Außerdem fördert der DAAD in China aktuell 30 Lektorate an chinesischen Hochschulen.
