Das Projekt KISSWIN (Kommunikations- und Informationssystem wissenschaftlicher Nachwuchs)
The project KISSWIN.de, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, is a communication and information platform which addresses:
- students at colleges and universities
- employees interested in graduate studies
- doctoral students, postdocs, postdoctoral candidates, senior-researchers and junior-professors
- foreign and german researchers at home and abroad
- research training groups
- anyone who is interested in a scientific career in Germany
KISSWIN.de supports the international competitive qualification of young researchers and contributes to the realizing of their potential so that they can make optimal use of their chances. To this end, the portal provides:
- information and newsletters concerning scientific career paths as well as funding possibilities and organisations
- consultation on the telephone or in written form including information on further contact
- workshops on scientific careers
- networking and fora
- database search
- editorial news, notices and important dates
KISSWIN.de will grow continously within the project duration of three years and after that. The progressive development of KISSWIN.de will give the user the possibility to actively take part in shaping the portal.
